Context
Design and development of complete business applications on S/4HANA for the marine & shipbuilding sector, with an end-to-end approach that goes from the data model down to the service layer, including administration of the BTP platform. The RAP framework sits at the core of the architecture.
What I built
- RAP services built in both managed and unmanaged flavours, picking the approach best suited to each business object's lifecycle and persistence constraints.
- Data modelling with CDS Views and behavior definitions, exposed as OData V2/V4.
- Abstract entities / interfaces to decouple integrations and standardize the data contracts toward external systems.
- ABAP reports for mass data import, including validation and logging.
- BTP administration: configuring role management, setting up the Work Zone and handling releases.
Outcome
Maintainable, performant applications with RAP at the core of the architecture: a clean separation between data model and service layer, decoupled integrations through abstract interfaces, and a solidly governed BTP platform (roles, Work Zone and releases).
